Founder & CEO
Dr. Judi Al-Saraf has more than 15 years of experience as an Arabic language and culture consultant,
working with clients and learners across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the
Middle East.
She holds a PhD in Arabic Linguistics from SOAS, University of London; an MA in Language and
Cultural Diversity from King’s College London; and a BA in Arabic from UCLA.
Her professional experience spans government and diplomacy, defense, oil and gas, academia, corporate training, and international organizations. She has taught at SOAS, the UK Ministry of Defence, and the Saudi Ministry of Education, combining academic specialization in Arabic linguistics with extensive experience in language teaching and cultural consultancy.
This background has given Dr. Al-Saraf a detailed understanding of the linguistic and cultural demands encountered by learners using Arabic in professional, academic, and cross-cultural environments.
Drawing on her academic research and professional teaching experience, Dr. Al-Saraf developed the curricula, course materials, and instructional framework used across Gilgamesh Language Solutions.
In developing these programs, she identified the grammatical foundations, vocabulary, communication skills, and cultural knowledge required at each stage of learning. She also analyzed challenges frequently encountered by learners of Arabic, including sentence construction, grammatical patterns, differences in register, and the relationship between Modern Standard Arabic and regional dialects.
